Dr Smith graduated from medical school in England in 2015. He completed his internship, gaining experience in aged care, paediatrics, musculoskeletal medicine, psychiatry, and acute medicine. He then gained further experience in emergency medicine in South Australia before returning to the UK to complete his General Practitioner training. During this time, he developed a keen interest in dermatology, undertaking a fellowship in community dermatology and commencing a diploma. His specific interests include inflammatory skin diseases and facial dermatology.

Outside of work, Dr Smith enjoys football (soccer), skiing, travelling, and keeping up with his energetic toddler.
